VOD isn’t exactly a new phenomenon…they’ve been around for quite a while. 30 years ago, the Sony Betamax SL8600 allowed for people to watch any show they desired.

Gone were the days where people had to watch TV shows at a certain time. The freedom of switching channels as and when alongside video-tapping different channels has build VOD to become what it is today.
